MULCH FOR DECORATION
The mulch we carry can be used to decorate any setting you desire. Flower beds, Bush beds, Tree rings, Alley strip or sides of homes where the conditions prevent any growth. Mulch comes in different textures and colors: Red, Black, Brown and Tan.

With colors like these you can make your home or flower beds stand out. Its just like painting the outside of your home with a different color, in this case your landscape.
So, if you have old mulch that has outlived its purpose, have a need to change the way your landscape looks, or don’t have mulch in select areas then we urge you to call/email us.
MULCH FOR CONSERVATION
Mulch can be used to retain the moisture in the soil. By acting as a shield it helps keep the sun and wind from taking all the moisture. With less loss to evaporation we conserve more water, protect the environment, and save money on our water bill.

We need to keep your beds filled with enough mulch so we can lessen the effects of evaporation. Mulch needs to be 2-4 inches deep depending on the location and the mulch material. With mulch at this depth you will be watering less and keeping those plants happy, especially when we have those hot 100+ degrees in summer.
As you and I know that living in North Texas , as well as any other place, we need to conserve our valuable resource: Water. Everyone can do their part in making sure we use enough for our needs. So, if you have areas that don’t have adequate amounts of mulch then call/email us.
MULCH FOR PROTECTION
Erosion
Mulch can be used for protection not only against evaporation(as mentioned earlier) but also to protect your soil against erosion.

With no mulch, the soil will be exposed to wind and water erosion. As the soil gets taken away it leaves your plants roots exposed and your house foundation at risk.
By adding mulch to needed areas around your home it acts as a shield. Thus, you are protecting your plants and the foundation of your home.
Weed Control
Use mulch to control weeds in your flower beds and garden. Mulch shields your soil from coming in contact with those pesky weed seeds and prevents them from sprouting.

If your having to spend time and money weeding your flower garden more than you would like to, then adding adequate amounts of mulch may provide the solution you are looking for.
As you can see mulch has many uses and benefits. One more benefit that I did not mention is that it will decompose over time and provide nutrients to your landscape plants. So if you’re wanting to add mulch to your landscape for decoration, conservation and/or protection qualities then now is a good time as ever.
